It seems that in a federal court case called United States of America vs. Lawanda Jackson, Ms. Jackson, while working at the UCLA Medical Center, confessed to taking payments from the publication still known as The National Enquirer in exchange for occasionaly passing confidential patient information gleened from medical records of "celebrities and other high profile patients."
The New York Times' writer Stephanie Clifford stated that "Enquirer reporters cannot pay off medical officials-they might be violating health care privacy laws." On March 8,2010 the Times' article mentioned The National Enquirer had ethics when praising The National Enquirer for its "snoop to bag the scoop". It turns out that Rielle Hunter who was and could still be, John Edwards's mistress was pregnant. The National Enquirer may have nominated itself for a Pulitzer Prize. Lawanda Jackson settled in court for a December 2008 felony charge for having sold medical secrets to the Enquirer from early 2006 through mid-2007, when hospital officials caught her frequently breaking federal health privacy and security laws. For Jackson's alleged $5000, she allegedly sold Farrah Fawcett's cancer treatment details in April of 2007 Jackson perhaps guilt-ridden like a politician named Murtha, died before she could be sentenced. US prosecutor Anthony Montero stated that Lawanda Jackson "to hide her activities...arranged with the National Enquirer that her payments would be in the form of checks to her husband." This could implicate The National Enquirer in conspiracy to violate federal privacy laws. Thom Mrozek, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles, California, stated that there is an "active, ongoing investigation" into Lawanda Jackson's sale of patient confidential medical information.

Makes one wonder just HOW MANY $9 per hour medical clerks call tabloids to sell confidential patient information! This one netted $5000 at least.

Andrews, chairman of a health subcommittee of the Education and Labor Committee, is not a fan of the excise tax that's included in the Senate version of the bill and in President Obama's plan he outlined yesterday.

Xavier Becerra is a key progressive which is code for ringleader socialist/populist deviating from Constitutional ethics, Jim Cooper is a Blue Dog with few scruples who was a mastermind conspiracist in the infamous Clinton health care takeover effort in the 1990s.

Slaughter is chairman of the Rules Committee and likes to relate stories about old people being so desperate for health care that they use "inherited" teeth from a dead sister! Gross as it sounds, the old lady probably lost her own teeth and hydrogen peroxide sanitized her sister's false teeth since they looked like hers, tried them and decided they fit as well as the ones she had lost so why spend another $300 and go through all that trouble?

The story grosses out most people who are grossed out by anybody's false teeth, even their own relatives. What youngster has not been squeemish seeing an oldster pulling out salavated teeth?

Ms Slaughter is just one more desperate Democrat forcing health care down our throats.
Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev) is another sick puppy pushing this.
Rep. Anh "Joseph" Cao of Louisiana is a Republican who backstabbed her GOP around Sunday, November 08, 2009 but has come to her senses.

Many states' Attorney Generals have lawsuits in the pipeline should health care weasel. Roberts of the Supreme Court is hopefully eyeing this travesty for the ash heap but unless he and four other decent justices pounce on this, billions will be wasted before it hits the garbage.

As for Steny Hoyer (D-MD), he is the former Democrat House Majority Leader so he is forced to go along or lose his position and frankly we hope all of the get voted out!
They have been told by millions to start over, allow new ideas, and throw the entire mess into the trash.

It's a dirty deal and has been like a candle burning in the minds of normal people who know that this is bad law from reading a few dozen pages and going to get even worse, it has been promised by Obama that as Canada did not get health care overnight, we should be incremental as well. Canadians come to America because of extreme rationing and long lines in Canada.

Massachusettes has been the pilot program and the state would have been BANKRUPT except for federal bailouts to keep the issue quiet.

The sorriest excuses for legislators ever known to humankind (and I'm being kind) have been striving, weaseling, kaniving, and using every underhanded trick they can muster from outright bribery AKA "The Louisiana Harlot Purchase of Landrieu boasts that her payoff was $300 million for Senator Mary Landrieu" to the "Nebraska Corn Husker Kickback". The provision is known as the "Cornhusker Kickback," because it gives Nebraska a permanent exemption from paying for Medicaid expenses while the other 49 states pay dearly. Many millions of taxpayers who have complained bitterly for MONTHS now proclaim,"The Democrat Whores of the Senate Get Bribes for Healthcare", in various ways sometimes using,"Prostitute" or "Harlot".
